I used to work at Universal Studios in the late 1970’s as a film editor. I ran into William Shatner in a stairwell once and being 6’ 2” myself, I was surprised at what a small and compact man he was. It struck me, having watched him appear larger than life on Star Trek and then running into him in a stairwell— the difference between reality and fiction. Fast-forward to just a couple of years ago when Jeff Bezos shot him into orbit and met him on the ground after. Captain Kirk actually wept, saying he had been overwhelmed by the fragility of the blue atmosphere that contains all life on earth. And I really resonated with it.
Noodles - multitrack recording in my home studio
I have been noodling and multitrack recording in my home studio for over 25 years. I had a bandcamp page for most of that time. A friend bought a CD once for $9.99. A few years later another friend downloaded a track. No matter. I just do this for fun.
